The California Avocado Festival is Carpinteria’s largest family friendly community celebration and one of the largest free festivals in the country. It’s expected to attract more than 100,00 people this year. With strong emphasis on maintaining a “Carp first” event, our success stems from the idea of celebrating everything that makes Carpinteria special: Delicious avocado inspired food, a wide variety of music, being a platform for local nonprofits and service organization to raise funds for their worthy causes, and most importantly, our dedication to raising scholarship funds for local youth in the areas of music, culinary arts, fine arts, and agriculture.

Old Spanish Days Fiesta is a beloved Santa Barbara tradition that has continued for nearly 90 years. It fosters a unique spirit among locals as an important coming together which encourages community cooperation, celebration, and growth. The festival has grown due to the overwhelming interest of many different organizations to develop and maintain it as an extension and expression of their place in the community. Visitors are also able to experience this historical spirit of Santa Barbara when they watch and join the city and its residents in Fiesta celebrations.

Stroll through a colorful Mexican market (across from City Hall) to feast on Spanish and Mexican-American foods, shop for crafts and souvenirs, and enjoy live entertainment all day and into the early evening.

Ventura's 4th of July Street Fair continues its proud 44-year-old tradition on Thursday, July 4, 2019, from 10 am to 5 pm in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. "We have liftoff!" is this year's theme, in honor of the 50th anniversary of NASA's Apollo Program.

The Independence Day event regularly draws 50,000 residents and visitors. This showcase of handmade arts and crafts by more than 200 artisans stretches along six blocks of Main Street from Fir Street to Mission Park.

In subsequent years, their parade joined forces with a Summer Solstice Music Festival coordinated by Michael Felcher, sponsored by The Santa Barbara Museum of Art, staged at the Sunken Gardens to celebrate the longest day of year.

The Parade and Festival is the largest arts event in Santa Barbara County, drawing crowds of over 100,000 spectators from around the world. From these humble beginnings arose a celebration of life which is like no other.

Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival is an annual event hosted by The Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise to benefit both Cajun heritage and the people of Simi Valley and surrounding areas.

The Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival, now in its 30th year, has continually evolved since its humble beginnings. The Festival started out in 1988 as a New England Clambake fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise, and within two years the Cajun Creole music theme was adopted. The Cajun theme proved to be very popular as the Festival gained national attention and grew to be one of the largest festivals of its kind west of the Mississippi River. The Festival currently presents live Cajun, Creole, Zydeco and Blues entertainment on multiple stages, offers more than 150 food, beverage, craft and sponsor booths, and attracts approximately 20,000 attendees. One hundred percent of all Festival profits are donated in support of charitable, educational and humanitarian causes.

The Live Oak Music Festival is held at Live Oak Camp, about twenty minutes northwest of Santa Barbara. Nestled in the river valley that feeds Cachuma Lake, the site is filled with old oaks that provide restful shade and pristine beauty.
