The California Avocado Festival is Carpinteria’s largest family friendly community celebration and one of the largest free festivals in the country. Summer Solstice Parade began in 1974, as a birthday celebration for a popular artist and mime named Michael Gonzales. In subsequent years, their parade joined forces with a Summer Solstice Music Festival coordinated by Michael Felcher, sponsored by The Santa Barbara Museum of Art, staged at the Sunken Gardens to celebrate the longest day of year.
The Parade and Festival is the largest arts event in Santa Barbara County, drawing crowds of over 100,000 spectators from around the world. From these humble beginnings arose a celebration of life which is like no other.
Since 1987, the Ojai Wine Festival has earned over $1.3 Million for Rotarian Community Service and international projects. Locally the Rotary Club of Ojai West Foundation focuses their efforts on enriching the education and health of our local youth as well as aiding additional civic needs. Our International Projects promote peace, fight diseases, provide clean drinking water, save mothers and children in need, support education and help grow local economies.

Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival is an annual event hosted by The Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise to benefit both Cajun heritage and the people of Simi Valley and surrounding areas.
The Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival, now in its 30th year, has continually evolved since its humble beginnings. The Festival started out in 1988 as a New England Clambake fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise, and within two years the Cajun Creole music theme was adopted. The Cajun theme proved to be very popular as the Festival gained national attention and grew to be one of the largest festivals of its kind west of the Mississippi River. The Festival currently presents live Cajun, Creole, Zydeco and Blues entertainment on multiple stages, offers more than 150 food, beverage, craft and sponsor booths, and attracts approximately 20,000 attendees. One hundred percent of all Festival profits are donated in support of charitable, educational and humanitarian causes.
Highlights: CEC’s Earth Day Festival is broken into zones, each created around a specific theme. In addition, there will be two full days of live music performances, speakers, one of the largest Green Car Shows on the West Coast, family programming, 200+ exhibitors, and the presentation of Environmental Hero Awards.

2017 Parade Theme: Celebrating Unity
The Live Oak Music Festival is held at Live Oak Camp, about twenty minutes northwest of Santa Barbara. Nestled in the river valley that feeds Cachuma Lake, the site is filled with old oaks that provide restful shade and pristine beauty.
The temperate climate, the shady oaks, the early summer setting, and the slow-moving pace create a pastoral backdrop for relaxing and listening to great music with family and friends. It's hard to imagine a better way to kick off the lazy days of summer.
